Shalom! Happy Passover and Good Friday! Why is this day called Good? It is the day that Yeshua gave his life as a sacrifice to restore humanity back to God forevermore. This redemption is very good!
In the beginning God created the Heavens and their hosts, the Earth and it’s inhabitants including Adam and Eve. The Bible tells us of a serpent in the Garden that deceived them, convincing them to disobey God. This serpent called Satan (Enemy in Hebrew) is a fallen angel, one of God’s creations who thought he could rise above God’s throne and overtake Him. We learn in later books that “Iniquity” was found in him, which is lies and wrong thinking. Satan led a rebellion against God, convincing 1/3rd of the other angels to also rebel, this is why he was thrown out and cast down to the earth along with the ones who followed him.

Once Adam and Eve disobeyed, Iniquity entered into us. The serpent was cursed forever and we were also placed under a curse, losing dominion over the earth that God gave to us to the enemy. God promised He would one day send a deliverer to us, a Messiah that would crush the head of the serpent! The serpent cannot ever repent but man can be redeemed and restored to relationship with God and the beauty of the Garden through the Messiah..
The Nations were created and God chose the Jewish people to give His Torah to. In Torah we learn His ways that include the sacrificial system which offers the forgiveness of sins, allowing us to come into the presence of God. The sacrifice of bulls, lambs, goats and doves were daily offerings made by the High Priests through elaborate rituals given to Moses.

These offerings paid the price for our sins but were just temporary solutions; God foretold Israel of the Messiah who would die for our sins and be crushed for our Iniquities. The Bible tells us he ‘would be led like a lamb to the slaughter’ and his sacrifice would take the weight of sin off of us and restore us all to God! Yeshua came as our Messiah and fulfilled these prophecies, going to the cross willingly so we could be restored to God.
One Savior, one sacrifice, The Lamb of God, it is finished! The greatest gift has been given to us, through faith in Yeshua the price of our sin has been paid forever!
Today we call sin “problems” that we try to fix through doctors, therapy and even spiritual healers but the truth is only God can heal our hearts and take away the sin and iniquity that weighs down our lives. If you are ready to be free, all you have to do is ask Yeshua into your heart and He will come in and begin the work of restoring you: your soul, your family, your finances, your destiny. Yeshua is our Salvation! This is the Good News that is very good on this Good Friday and every day. L’Chaim! To Life!
